Tooling & Precision Engineering Services

At Derwent Valley Tooling Ltd, we strive to deliver an excellent service to all clients at all times. Regular investments towards machinery, equipment and training enables the continuous provision of industry leading designs and precisely engineered components to the highest of standards.  Offering a complete service from start to finish, we can develop the initial ideas of our clients, and / or manufacture the components from pre-approved line drawings and technical specifications. 

Component & Tooling  Design Services

We work closely with all clients, listening to individual design preferences and proposed performance requirements. Our award winning designer and precision engineers can offer valuable advice and contribute significant value during each stage of the design process.  Both 2D & 3D CAD designs can be supplied, in addition to engineering line drawings as used by traditional draftsmen.

Manufacturing Processes

Working from approved drawings from either ourselves or the customer, we can manufacture tooling moulds and mechanical components as a "one off" design or in small batch quantities. Similarly, we are happy to aid in the development and production of component prototypes using a selection high grade, reliable materials including:

  • Aerospace Aluminium

  • Mild & Hard Steel

  • Nylons & Plastics

Component Inspection & Testing

With a wealth of knowledge in tooling manufacture and precision engineering, we recognise the importance for  reliability, performance and structural integrity of all component produced, especially within the automotive and areospace sectors.

Considering the above, all components are inspected to customer requirements, using CMM (Computer Measuring Machines), before being released for dispatch to our customers.
